LEGENDS

1. Revit home - open new or existing saved model or family, opens home screen

2. Quick access tool bar - to select tools that are used often

3. Info center - to search and access many product-related information sources

4. Option bar - displays conditional tools that are used often

5. Type selector - identifies selected elements and allows selection of different type elements

6. properties  pallet - modify properties of elements

7. project browser - organize views, schedules and sheets

8. Status bar - provides tips and hints on what to do. Displays name of highlighted family type

9. - view control bar - changing view display, changes scale

10. Drawing area  - to view drawing and selected elements 

11. ribbon - find tools to design building model, object specific tool

12. tabs - categories that include different commands and tools

13. contextual tab - object specific tool for different element 

14. tools on current tab of the ribbon

15. panels on the ribbon
